Leith Consulting Services (LCS) was formed by the Principals with the objective of providing clients with independent specialist business, information technology and change management consultancy delivered and managed by the LCS Principal Consultants and supported by an LCS network of collaborative partnerships with other experienced and specialised consultancies.

LCS intentionally targets the niche position between the major ICT consultancies and sole independent contractors and only provides highly experienced consultants and specialists with many years of experience in the subject matter.

The focus of LCS Consultants is to provide clients with pragmatic “real world” advice, recommendations and tangible deliverables in a straight forward, easy to understand and professional manner that enables the client to achieve positive and measurable business outcomes.

LCS does not take up “preferred” relationships with any hardware or software technology vendors and as such the client can be assured of truly independent advice from LCS Consultants, consulting affiliates and sub-contractors. Further, the very size and operating model of LCS, our affiliates and sub-contractors makes it impossible for LCS to have vested interests and as such the client can be assured that the advice provided by LCS is truly objective and free from bias.

Our Methods

LCS deliverables undertake multiple peer reviews prior to being released to the client to ensure alignment between the deliverable and the client expectations in terms of scope, focus and quality.

LCS has developed an in-house project development and execution process to augment the standard approach to risk management of methods such as Prince and PMBOK.

The LCS risk process embeds risk identification, re-evaluation and management as a continual, fundamental part of project execution rather than a separate isolated topic.

The main characteristics of the LCS risk management technique are:-
• promotes the construction and execution of a practical schedule and plan.
• avoids development of the “task list” schedule.
• focusses the Project Manager, and other team members, on risk management and the relationship to activity deliverables, dependencies and timing.
• has been designed to be:
-flexible: tailor to any project type, or project role or responsibility
    - repeatable: review and execute at defined periods or on an adhoc basis
    - accessible: review and execute by the Project Manager, or another project member or client representative
    - timely: following the initial risk identification meeting subsequent review and execution can be completed in well under 30 minutes for a moderate to high complexity project.
